Dr Ashley Fong


Dr Ashley Fong is an experienced endocrinologist, specialising in infertility and reproductive medicine. With a warm, kind and compassionate approach, she offers a comprehensive and considered assessment to meet each individual’s needs. She listens attentively and takes time to discuss diagnoses, and results, and to formulate a personalised treatment plan.

Dr Fong devotes the majority of her private practice to female and male infertility problems with a special interest in fertility- and pregnancy-related endocrine conditions such as oligomenorrhoea, polycystic ovarian syndrome, gestational diabetes, thyroid dysfunction in pregnancy, premature ovarian insufficiency and male factor infertility.

She assists individuals who need to freeze gametes or embryos prior to cancer treatment and will assist in the work-up and treatment of couples who require pre-implantation genetic diagnosis.

As well as specialising in fertility, she has expertise in general endocrine disorders including insulin resistance, obesity, diabetes, thyroid disease, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, hormone replacement therapy and disorders of the hypothalamic-pituitary axis.

Experience and qualifications

Dr Fong graduated from Monash University in 1999 and obtained her Fellowship in Endocrinology (FRACP) in 2009.  She achieved her Masters in Medicine (in Human Reproduction and Human Genetics) at Sydney University in 2011.  Dr Fong joined Westmead Fertility Centre in 2009 and is a visiting medical practitioner at Westmead Hospital.
